After reaching an agreement last week, Tiago Djalo is poised to arrive in Italy to finalize his transfer to Juventus.
The 23-year-old Portuguese center-back will be making the move from Lille to the Old Lady in a definitive transfer, valued at approximately €3-3.5 million, with additional amounts in add-ons. The deal also includes a 10% future resale clause. Djalo is set to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Bianconeri and will remain in Turin without going out on loan.
Juventus faced challenges in completing the Djalo deal due to liquidity index issues, which required them to sell a player first. The transfer of Filippo Ranocchia to Palermo was successfully concluded this week, enabling Juventus to proceed with the acquisition of the Portuguese defender.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Djalo is scheduled to arrive in Turin on Sunday, followed by his pre-transfer medical examinations with Juventus on Monday. If all goes according to plan, he will then sign his contract and complete the move from Lille.
Having been inactive since April of the previous year due to a cruciate ligament injury, the 23-year-old is on the brink of returning to action and will continue his recovery with the Bianconeri.
