Real Madrid assistant coach Davide Ancelotti has been presented with a tempting offer to become the manager of a Saudi Arabian club. The undisclosed club, currently positioned in the bottom half of the table, has proposed that Ancelotti take charge for the remainder of the ongoing season and two additional campaigns.
While Ancelotti, the son of Madrid’s head coach Carlo Ancelotti, has not yet provided a response, it appears improbable that he would opt to depart from the Santiago Bernabeu in the midst of the season. Ancelotti has a history with the club, having previously worked during his father’s initial tenure as the head coach.
The 34-year-old, who also served as an assistant coach to his father at Everton, harbors aspirations of stepping into a managerial role, but he seems inclined to wait for the right opportunity at an opportune moment. If and when that time arrives, it is anticipated that fellow Madrid coach Francesco Mauri will assume the role of assistant to Carlo Ancelotti.
Sources familiar with the situation suggest that Ancelotti has not completely ruled out the possibility of taking on his first managerial position in Saudi Arabia, but he is inclined to explore opportunities in the European market first. The allure of the Premier League, where he has previously received interest, holds a significant appeal to him.
